History

Eyre Eye Centre (formerly 'Family Vision Optometrists') has been servicing the Eyre Peninsula for approximately 25 years. Philip Clem and Elise Pocknee have been involved in the practice as owners, managers and Optometrists since 1997. They purchased the practice from founding Optometrist Michael Burnside. The practice has a reputation for providing caring, personalised, quality service.

Both Phil and Elise are passionate about Optometry and have a particular interest in eye disease and therapeutics. We are committed to continuing education and maintaining a knowledge level at the forefront of the profession. We believe it is critical to have modern state-of-the-art equipment that allows us to provide optometric care second to none.

In 2003 we were the first practice in South Australia to gain QIP accreditation. This process involved meeting strict requirements in areas such as practice management, clinical standards, customer service, record keeping, hygiene, privacy, OHS and human resource management.
